Easy Crepes Recipe

Missing the taste of holiday or just looking for a quick carbs refill? Crepes are as irresistible easy to make as satisfying to have!

 

Ingredients

Type 1 – Basic

(16 crepes)

  • 3 cup / 400g Flour
  • 2½ – 3¾ cup / 600-900ml Soda water
  • ½ cup / 100ml Cooking oil

Type 2 – Advanced

  • 3 cups / 400g Flour
  • 1¼ cup / 400ml Milk
  • 1 Egg
  • ⅞ cup / 200ml Soda water
  • 1 tablespoon Butter (for frying)

Note: A tablespoon of sugar or any sweetener can be added to either of the recipes but its absolutely not necessary.

How to make crepes

Type 1 – Basic

Type 2 – Advanced:

  1. Put the ingredients into a bowl except the butter as that is only needed for frying the crepe.Sugar-free-crepes-recipe-process
  2. Start mixing ingredients together. Then slowly pour soda water in, too. Keep mixing until we get a smooth runny thin mixtureSugar-free-crepes-recipe-process-4-SunCakeMom
  3. Heat medium size frying-pan on high heat and add a bit of butter then run it around evenly.

Common steps:

  1. Heat medium size frying-pan on high heat then pour some batter into the tilted pan.Sugar-free-crepes-recipe-process-7-SunCakeMom
  2. Then tilt the pan with a circular motion so that the batter coats the surface evenly. Add some extra batter if necessary. Cook for about 1 to 2½ minutes depending on the quality of the heat we have. When the side of the crepes start to roll up the crepes should be good to flip.
