Keto Bread Roll Recipe

How hard is the road to the keto-vana? Luckily, we are not doomed to be alone on the long journey as long as we have keto bread rolls in our backpack.

There are things in life that we call the pillars of our existence. Without them our whole being would crumble into pieces. Not like we couldn’t build the world up again, but that new reality would be completely different from the one we know.

Luckily, we don’t always have a county size asteroid crushing into Earth, wiping most of the life out of our neighborhood but that doesn’t mean, some of us don’t live through tragedies on a daily basis.

The crumbling of our inner world can be as devastating for us as an external existential threat if we can’t find a way to build it up again.

There are two ways out from the depth that leads to oblivion. Both can be thread by ordinary people, but only one leads to a better world through enlightenment.

Which way to go?

The road, many of us enticed to take, is the one that looks familiar. This path promises us to lead back to the world we once knew. Every step we take on it, every mile that falls behind further allure us in our hope of building the world again.

Few of us realize that pursuing such hopes leads us to the very same situation that caused our fall in the first place. Except, of course if we are talking about asteroids as we have very little control where they hit, save if we are a bunch of badass oil rig workers.

But in case of personal tragedies, the more familiar is the road to the path that leads us to the crack of doom, the more chance we have to fall in again without someone is being there to bite off our finger and save us.

So as hard as it may seem when the world as we have known, falls into pieces, we have to choose our way out of it on the road that looks the least familiar to the old one.

Who to trust?

The worst of all is not that the road will be full of treacheries and disappointments, but we constantly have to fight with our insecure selves, oppressing our doubts until it doesn’t cow us to turn back.

But anyone who has once ended up with a pile of Lego bricks without instructions knows that once creativity is left to roam on the endless fields of imagination, marvelous things have the opportunity to come into existence.

But until we can free our mind and let go off the old way of living, we are forced to thread on the familiar road with familiar names and a bit of luck familiar flavors too.

Should we just let it go?

The fear of the unknown or the hardly deniable gravity of the known is what looms us into making bread rolls when we are on a low carb diet? It’s a quest, that’s open for debate but mostly it’s irrelevant as long as both forces pull us ahead on the same road.

Once we realize that the place, we are seeking, lies not ahead of us but behind us, we can may still have the chance to turn back and find redemption.

Until then though, we still have to live through the days and survive the best we can in a world that couldn’t exist as we know without bread rolls.Keto Bread Roll Recipe - SunCakeMom

  • 6 Egg whites (Try our low carb mayo from the Low Carb Condiments)

  2. Warm the water and mix in the vinegar. Alternatively vinegar can be substituted with double amount of lemon juice. Mind not to heat the water above 140°F / 60°C as that temperature activates the baking powder.
  3. With a hand mixer gradually mix the water with the dry ingredients.Keto-hot-dog-bun-recipe-Process-4-SunCakeMom
  4. Mix in the egg whites as well. Don’t get scared of the soft texture. It is supposed to be like somewhat sticky slime.
  5. Get a bowl of water close to us will allow to wet our hands after shaping each bread rolls.Keto-hot-dog-bun-recipe-Process-6-SunCakeMom
  6. Shape the bread rolls. They grow in size but they won’t be huge. Those who got used to gluten filled baking will notice that even though the dough is soft, it doesn’t stick nearly as much to our hands as we used to. It’s completely manageable.
  7. Place the formed bread rolls into the pre-heated oven for 60 – 70 minutes. Don’t forget to swap sides after about 40 minutes if our oven has the tendency for uneven heat distribution.Keto Bread Roll Recipe - SunCakeMom
  8. The bread rolls are ready when slight golden brown color starts to appear on some of them and by tapping them results a hollow sound and somewhat firm crust.Keto Bread Roll Recipe - SunCakeMom

Enjoy!

Note: Using a generous amount of baking powder should result in airy bread rolls. If we are after a more dense almost bagel like texture we can simply omit the baking powder.
