Poppy Seed Cake [Keto]

Healthy dessert made of poppy seed with a touch of coconut. Naturally sweetened with banana and made exciting with some juicy apple shreds.

  • 7 oz / 200g Poppy-seed ground
  • oz / 100g Shredded coconut
  • 1 Banana
  • 1 medium Apple grated
  • 5 Eggs separated
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder follow instructions on packaging
  • 1 tablespoon Agave syrup optional for additional carbs and sweetness
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F / 180°C.
  2. Grind poppy-seed.

  3. Grind the coconut too.

  4. Separate eggs.
  5. Beat egg whites until hard peaks form.
  6. Mash bananas and grate apple.
  7. Mix them with the yolks, ground poppy-seed, coconut and baking powder.
  8. Carefully fold in egg whites.
  9. Pour the mixture into a tray and put it in the preheated oven for 30 minutes to bake.
  10. Let it cool down before serving.

Recipe Notes

Note: For added pleasures serve it with vanilla custard.
