Keto-low-carb-banana-bread-recipe-1-SunCakeMomBaking could seem such a mystery sometimes. Especially when someone just starts out in the kitchen. When we were at school studying chemistry trying to wrap our head around atoms and fusions no one actually told us what that knowledge will be good for.

If someone had just whispered us there, that making muffins is actually chemistry a much wider audience would have flocked to cheer in the science camp. But no science must be some weird thing where we mix things together to observe and take notes of it.

Well, that’s called a recipe in the kitchen and some like it following scrupulously while others take a much more vagabond approach to it and go with the flow of the substance.
Curiosity is the foundation of chemistry thus culinary as well. How else could we hope to stumble upon the unlikely marriage of gluten and yeast.

To be honest, finding about yeast wasn’t really a big deal really as the base of bread making is the sourdough which is nothing particularly fancy stuff, only moist flour left out for the bacteria to feed on for a couple of days.

Baking powder could be a much more exciting invention because it is made of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and a heat locked acidic ingredient that reacts with each other in the oven, releasing CO2 that in turn raises our dough.

If we plan to take the reins of our kitchen someday, it’s important to know what the compounds, we use, do in our cakes when we throw them in the mixing bowl. Not because we all want to be recipe developers one day with own cook book and morning show but because getting to know what we do, makes us better in what we cook.

Making banana bread though will not require any of the knowledge or experience we could have accumulated sweating next to the oven over the decades.

Banana bread is the simplest, one could whip up without any notion in the secret arts of kitchen sciences. The hardest bit may be to wait for the bananas to turn brown.

Green or still yellow bananas will not really fly in this cake except of course if we throw a block of sugar into the cake to sweeten it up to our taste as some mindless calorie hoarder recipes like to call.

Banana bread should be sweet enough with the bananas only, without any added sweetener given we use ripe bananas. The browner it is the better it will be but let’s keep the moldy ones out of the batter if possible.

The trickiest part could be to beat the eggs up, as we will need some sort of whip or even better a machine for that but otherwise it’s a mix and bake no fuss cake.

Making a gluten free version will not cause much headache either, as we can use gluten free flour instead of plain white flour. This recipe will use a mixture of ground nuts and go all natural with the ingredients.

This bread can also be made in different shapes and used as a base for various cakes with a variety of fillings, icings or frostings.Keto-low-carb-banana-bread-recipe-2-SunCakeMom
